The Ansley Park Playhouse and the Peachtree Playhouse are both for-profit theatres owned and operated by playwrights-producers John Gibson and Anthony Morris.
John Gibson (Producer, Director, Writer) has been producing and directing for the past 12 years. He has directed over 17 productions including Off-Broadway in New York at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre. He has written 5 hit comedies that have been performed around the country. He is also the Artistic Director for the Ansley Park Playhouse and the Peachtree Playhouse. Before coming to Atlanta, John appeared in recurring television roles on General Hospital and Knots Landing, and co-starred in Columbo. John studied with the Richmond Repertoire in London and performed with the L.A. Connection Improv. John studied voice under Seth Riggs and, after leaving Hollywood, was signed to BMI and wrote and recorded music in Nashville . John was also co-writer for the national tour of Heartstrings. John has been recognized by the National Anti-Defamation Organization G.L.A.A.D., for his work and received 3 Phoenix Awards from the City of Atlanta for his work.
Anthony Morris (Writer) is also a partner in one of the nation's largest law firms, where he focuses on entertainment law, government ethics and business litigation. He is outside ethics counsel to several politicians, including the current and former Speakers of the U.S. House of Representatives and various members of Congress. Anthony has brokered book deals for several national booksellers for clients such as Newt Gingrich, Zell Miller, and John & Patsy Ramsey; he negotiated movie deals such as I've Got You, Babe, the biopic of Sonny & Cher; and he has handled talent contracts for reality series such as CBS' The Amazing Race and HBO's Sex Inspectors. Anthony also regularly represents several Fortune 500 companies in complex business litigation.

Two of the premier playwrights in the Southeast, John and Anthony co-wrote Peachtree Battle, The Limousine Ride and the popular Veranda trilogy that has thrilled Atlanta audiences since 1995.
Other upcoming works written by Gibson and Morris include three comedies: A Sunday Afternoon at Loehmann's; Peachtree Battle 2 - The In-laws; and Veranda 4; two dramas: A Place at the Table, The List; and one musical: Commandmentz.
The Ansley Park Playhouse, Atlanta's Uptown Theatre, opened in 2002, rests in Atlanta's upscale Ansley Park neighborhood at 1545 Peachtree Street and provides an elegant experience to Atlanta's patrons. Located on the street level of the Peachtree Pointe Building, the 140-seat proscenium theatre is well suited for larger productions.
The Peachtree Playhouse and Ansley Park Playhouse receive no city, state or federal funding, but rely solely on ticket sales.
